    Christian’s NFL Mock Draft 8.0

I’ve written seven other mock drafts since January. I’ve previously said that a mock without trades is pointless, but here we are. Our friendly competition of finding out who can write the most accurate mock draft (or, who can have the most luck come Thursday) has forced my hand. I promise this is the last mock I’ll write. No trades (unfortunately). Some surprise names. You know, the on-brand hot take. Let’s do it. 1. Joe Burrow, QB, LSU Not much to say here. I still believe

    Christian’s NFL Mock Draft 7.0

It’s 1:24 AM as I begin to write this. Boredom has taketh over. The 2020 NFL Draft is prevalent in the forefront of my mind. Earlier, I hit my bed up for a quick snooze, but couldn’t get Isaiah Simmons to the Lions out of my head, so I decided instead to draft up a three-round mock with trades. This is the motherload for me. A previous edition of my mock draft series was a three-rounder that included trades, but I was a novice back then (it was published in March). I’m still

    Christian’s NFL Mock Draft 6.0

Well it’s been a while. I’ve quietly been writing mocks and vocally hating them. This has been a difficult year to figure out what is going to happen – especially after the first two picks. But after deliberation and a heightened level of research, this is what I came up with. Let’s do it. 1. Joe Burrow, QB, LSU I still think that this pick could be traded for the right haul, but if the Bengals stay here, they have to select Joe Burrow. He may not be happy about it, but the B

Christian’s ‘What I Would Do’ Mock Draft

Oh, this will be fun. I already know this mock will garner hate. That’s okay. If I were the GM for all 32 teams, there would be something wrong with the world. But it’s actually pretty fun to pretend, so please forgive my selections here. Or don’t. That’s fine. I’m only doing a first round, but I am including trades. Let’s get into it. 1. Chase Young, EDGE, Ohio State Welp. Here’s where people say “I stopped at number one.” Here’s my rationale, though. Andy Dalton threw for 2

    Christian’s 2020 Rookie Fantasy Rankings 3.0

Well, it sure has been a while since I put one of these out. I’ve been watching film pretty consistently for the last two months which has allowed me to iron out some of my projections for the 2020 rookie class. There has been a ton of variance from the 2.0 (which can be found here), so stay with me as I explain why. Let’s do it. Quarterback (Image from NFL.com) Joe Burrow, LSU – this hasn’t and will not change in the near future. Joe Burrow’s historic season was remarkable,

Scenario: you’ve decided to be smart and responsible and take part in appropriate social distancing. You’re bored. You have caught up on all of Ozark, and you have five days to kill before season three comes out. You decide to take time to continue reading this mock draft with an open mind. Okay, maybe you don’t like Ozark (we need to have a discussion if you don’t, but hey). Maybe you’re not social distancing (we need to have a much more serious discussion here). But you sho

    Christian’s NFL Mock Draft 4.5

Welcome in for another edition of my wild and roller coaster-esque mock draft series (about as wild as that picture up there, I’d say). I’ve let you readers and my co-host, Randy Hall, bully me into moving Isaiah Simmons out of the number two overall selection. While I think that is still a possibility, I’m sick of getting yelled at by you all (and quite frankly, I can acknowledge that my bias is probably clouding my view). This edition of the mock draft will actually scale i

    Christian’s NFL Mock Draft 3.5

Ah, the post-Combine hangover. The build-up to the event is so drastic and the testing just truly does not matter very much, but I sat and watched hours and hours of guys running and jumping anyway. And now I can’t wait for Pro Days. I have been on a bit of a hiatus lately – my mocks hadn’t changed much and I didn’t feel as though I was doing readers justice by putting out the same mock over and over. You’ll probably notice that I jumped from 2.5 straight to 3.5. That is beca

    Christian’s NFL Mock Draft 2.5

A day late, but not a dollar short. My board has been changing drastically recently. I think the NFL Draft is going to get pretty funky, and for that reason, I’ve gotten bold and risky with this mock draft. Let’s get weird. First Round 1. Joe Burrow, QB, LSU Come on. 2. Chase Young, EDGE, OSU Still not convinced this is the pick, but because I’m going off the rails with the rest of this mock, I figured I’d wait until pick number three to have all of you yelling at me. Chase Y

Is Joe Burrow still the 1.01? Is Chase Young a lock at pick number 2? Time to figure that out and more. If you missed my Mock Draft 1.0, you can find it here. And if you haven’t yet heard The Cut’s 1.0, check it out here. Oh! And with each new mock I put out, I’m going to add a round. So enjoy my second round here, as well. Let’s just dive right in. First Round 1. Joe Burrow, QB, LSU No surprises here. Joe Burrow is a lock at one. I think it’s the most sure I’ve been in quite

    Christian’s NFL Mock Draft 1.5

Welcome back for another edition of my mock drafts. I’m going to try to do this with each new mock I release. What is this you ask? A full one-round mock draft with trades! That’s why we’re at 1.5, folks. I don’t typically love mocks with trades because it’s nearly impossible to predict what teams will attempt to move up – and there is always a surprise or two – but I feel as though this will be fun. Let’s get right into it. 1. Joe Burrow, QB, LSU I don’t see a world in which
