National Championship Preview: Crimson Tide or Buckeyes?
The tumultuous College Football Season culminates on Monday night in Miami with the Alabama Crimson Tide and the Ohio State Buckeyes set to square off for the National Championship game. Both teams are coming off of impressive wins in the semi-finals. Alabama handled Notre Dame has most experts predicted. Ohio State finally got over the hump and dominated Clemson for the program's first victory over the Tigers in 5 attempts. Our experts (using that term loosely) are ready to predict the results of this game and we assure you there will be no bias (except for Brandon).

Brandon: I took Ohio State on the money line in the semi-final game against Clemson. It may have been a homer bet, but I knew they were more than capable. Justin Fields looked better than he has all season. Ohio State-Alabama is a college football fan's dream title matchup. Alabama comes in with the best offense in football, but their defense has not been as strong as it has been in years past. Heisman winner Devonta Smith and the return of Jaylen Waddle are extremely dangerous weapons for Mac Jones. Combine that with the ground attack of Najee Harris and that is going to be tough to stop. I picked Ohio State to win the National Championship before this season and I have to stick with it. Justin Fields and Trey Sermon are going to have to play a heck of a ball game. The key to the game will be Ohio State's defensive line's ability to control the running game and make Alabama one dimensional.
Prediction: Ohio State 48-45 (Overtime)

Christian: QB1 Justin Fields is going to go berserk tonight, because he’s the best quarterback in the nation. The Ohio State offense looked as dynamic as ever against Clemson, having their way with whatever look the Tigers gave them. But the Crimson Tide have one of the most explosive offenses in the history of college football. I tweeted that Alabama would probably go toe-to-toe with the 2019 LSU Tigers team, and I truly believe that. Mac Jones has taken command of the offense, grading out as the best quarterback in college football, per PFF. I don’t see a world where Shaun Wade and company stop Heisman-winning wideout Devonta Smith and potentially Jaylen Waddle.
Prediction: Alabama wins 38-35

Randy: As much as I want to believe in Ohio State this week, I tend to be more of a realist, or pessimist to some, when it comes to my teams games. Lets start off with Justin Fields. Coming off an incredible game against Clemson, I think Fields keeps it going and delivers another strong performance to really make the Jaguars scouting department think about which QB they should draft in April. Alabama's defense has been solid all year but is still nowhere near how good they have been in the past. I believe Trey Sermon should be able to have another dominant performance as well on the ground. The real matchups to watch here will be Chris Olave vs Patrick Surtain Jr and DeVonta Smith vs Shaun Wade. Unfortunately, Smith and Alabama come out on top in this matchup. Add in the dominant running of Najee Harris and I think it will all just be a bit too much for an Ohio State defense to contend with. Especially when you realize they have only really shown up for probably about 1.5 games in total all season. Give me Alabama for the win but by less than 8 and I will take the over on points.
Prediction: Alabama Wins 41-35

Adam: When the playoff committee announced all four playoff teams, I was not an advocate of Ohio State making the playoff. I did not feel they deserved to be there. I would like to go on the record to say that I was wrong, and they deserved to not just make the playoff but play for a national championship. These are the two clear best teams in college football. Ohio State is playing with so much confidence. Justin Fields and Trey Sermon the last two games are playing better than anyone. Ohio State's offense is good enough and they will come out fast and strong against the Alabama defense. However, to win this game all three sides of the football for Ohio State need to play 4 strong quarters of football, and I do not think they are capable of that. Alabama's offense is too strong and the trio of Mac Jones, Devonta Smith, and Najee Harris are going to be too much for the Buckeyes to handle. This is game is much closer than people think, but in the end Alabama is going to beat Ohio State. I know all my Ohio State friends will hate me for this pick, sorry not sorry. Just remember my team started 7-0 and then lost 3 straight games.
Prediction: Alabama 52- 42
Sean: Wanted to abstain... but couldn't for some reason due to these jerks (jk). All I will say is I'm superstitious so I won't be saying anything else with the reasoning.
Prediction: Ohio State 48-45.
